Clover® POS Equipment Placement Program – Terms Summary
With our Clover® POS Equipment Placement Program, eligible businesses can receive select Clover POS hardware at $0 upfront, including full countertop systems like the Clover Station. You only pay shipping.
This program allows you to use professional-grade Clover equipment with your merchant account—without the large initial hardware investment.
How the Program Works
The Clover POS device is provided at no cost
A one-time $99 shipping & handling fee applies to Clover Station Duo, Clover Station Solo, or Clover Mini
A one-time $35 shipping & handling fee applies to Clover Flex, Clover Compact, or Clover Go
The equipment is provided for use with your merchant processing account
The device remains the property of the processor during the program
Equipment must be returned if the merchant account is closed
Equipment Use & Responsibilities
Equipment is intended for commercial business use only
Devices must be used exclusively with the supported merchant account
The merchant is responsible for:
Safeguarding equipment from loss, theft, or damage
Normal operating supplies (paper, accessories, peripherals, etc.)
Compliance with PCI-DSS and card network rules
Normal wear and tear is expected and acceptable.
If Service Is Discontinued or Terminated
If the merchant account is closed or terminated for any reason, the Clover POS equipment must be returned.
A pre-paid return shipping label will be emailed to the merchant
Equipment must be returned within ten (10) days of the return label being issued
All equipment, cables, power cords, and accessories must be included
Equipment must be returned in working condition, allowing for normal wear and tear
Failure to return the equipment within the required timeframe may result in a replacement fee based on the device model.
Important Notes
Equipment is not sold and does not transfer ownership
Replacement fees vary by model and can be up to the full retail value
Program availability is subject to approval and eligibility
Full terms are governed by the Merchant Agreement and Equipment Placement Addendum
